Description

Chassis No. WP0AC2A80NS275312

It may be difficult to remember a time when the Cayman concept was a controversial one for Porsche. At its launch in 2005, the Cayman was not only more expensive than its convertible cousin, usually the other way around, but even the name was grumbled about. Those grumbling needn't have worried as the Cayman S was a revelation to drive and as the years have gone by the Cayman lineup has grown to include variants with cherished names - and the performance to match - like GTS, Spyder, and R. In 2016 the Cayman received a special moniker of its own with the track focused GT4. This 2022 718 Cayman GT4, finished in optional Gentian Blue Metallic, with 414 hp from its 4.0-liter flat-six is the most advanced street-legal Cayman yet this side of an RS. Properly spec'd, it features the glorious 'track day enthusiast' combination of lightweight 'full bucket seats' in carbon fiber and a six-speed manual transmission. Remarkably, despite this GT4's specification, the first owner was able to resist the call of a track day. At cataloging it displays less than 400 miles on its odometer and, as such, represents not only a way to learn the fast line at the track but avoid the line for an allocation at your local Porsche dealer.
