Jaguar's flagship sedan for the latter half of the twentieth century, the XJ6 first appeared in 1968 with the winning recipe of the E-Type's legendary 4.2-liter straight six engine, an all-new four-wheel independent suspension system, and timeless good looks. As a sales success, Jaguar was keen on revisions and constant updates, which by 1979, brought them to the Series III XJ6. This third revision of the sedan was the most refined yet, boasting a handsome redesign courtesy of Carrozzeria Pininfarina. Today, the superb Series III XJ6 remains a desirable everyday-drivable collector car. Originally sold in Nebraska with an MSRP of $37,915, this elegant Nimbus White XJ6 has recently undergone a comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic reconditioning. Completed by The Jaguar Doctor of Boca Raton, Florida, service in the amount of $15,000 includes all new brakes, brake lines, shocks, subframe mounts, belts, radiator, heater valve, and ignition coil among many other improvements detailed in the accompanying service records. The interior has been treated to new Biscuit leather upholstery and refinished burled walnut trim, while the door cards, carpets, and interior equipment are also in excellent condition throughout. Refinished 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in new Uniroyal tires are ready to handle daily driving as this Jaguar is set to be enjoyed by a new owner.
