Only 104 examples of the beloved 190 SL were constructed in 1963, with production stopping in March upon the Geneva Motor Show debut of the new 230 SL. As a true swansong example, this 190 SL is all that more interesting as it is the 39th from the last model produced, benefiting from numerous improvements over its nine-year production run.
Presented today in the elegant color combination of 'White-Gray' over a contrasting red leather interior, this 190 is sure to delight even the most demanding Mercedes connoisseur. The engine compartment shows an eye for detail, from the factory-correct style hose clamps to the period-correct Bosch battery. A pair of original Solex carburetors indicate a high level of detail work, down to the replication of the factory paint markings on the fuel hose clamps. The car's interior has received the same treatment shown through detailing all the intricate dash trim pieces, still retaining a bright luster. This contrasts beautifully with the beautiful red leather seats and door panels. An added benefit to this car is the inclusion of a factory tool roll and a binder of records related to the vehicle. A superb example from the tail end of production is ready to be a fantastic addition to any Mercedes-Benz collection.
