The Alfa Romeo 6C represents one of the most important Italian grand tourers of the immediate post-war period. The 6C was the bridge between pre- and post-war production for Alfa Romeo and served as their last truly hand-built offering, with mechanical roots in the pre-war era, but with coachwork that definitively pointed to the future.
This particular example, chassis 915677, wears the graceful Superleggera Coupe coachwork of Carrozzeria Touring. According to Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 by Angelo Tito Anselmi, the car is believed to have been delivered to first owner Fernando Ghedini of Bologna on 9 March 1949. Its known history resumes when it was registered in the U.K. on 6 June 1982, belonging to noted Alfa collector Carol Spagg. The car was sold on 27 December 1985, then acquired by renowned collector Fuad Mazjub—the consignor's late father—via Brian Classic Ltd., reportedly in complete, original condition. Documentation indicates that some engine work was carried out during the early-mid 1990s by Chris Pyke Associates of Salisbury.
Today, the Alfa Romeo is presented as a true “barn find” and comprehensive restoration project. The car is accompanied by a 6C 2500 engine and four-speed transmission (condition unknown), and retains most of its instruments and interior components. It also sits on two original Borrani wire wheels at the rear.

L’Alfa Romeo 6C rappresenta una delle più importanti gran turismo italiane del primo dopoguerra. Questo modello fece da ponte tra la produzione anteguerra e quella postbellica di Alfa Romeo, trattandosi dell’ultima automobile realmente costruita a mano della casa milanese: legata meccanicamente all’era prebellica, la 6C vantava una carrozzeria che guardava decisamente al futuro.
Questo esemplare, telaio n. 915677, è equipaggiato con l’elegante carrozzeria Coupé Superleggera realizzata dalla Touring. Secondo quanto riportato nel libro Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 di Angelo Tito Anselmi, l’auto sarebbe stata consegnata al primo proprietario, Fernando Ghedini di Bologna, il 9 marzo 1949. La storia documentata riprende con l’immatricolazione nel Regno Unito, avvenuta il 6 giugno 1982, quando apparteneva a Carol Spagg, nota collezionista di Alfa Romeo. L’auto venne venduta il 27 dicembre 1985 e successivamente acquistata dal celebre collezionista Fuad Mazjub - padre dell’attuale proprietario - tramite Brian Classic Ltd., presumibilmente completa e in condizioni originali. La documentazione riporta che alcuni interventi al motore furono eseguiti nei primi anni ’90 dall’officina Chris Pyke Associates di Salisbury.
Oggi, l'Alfa Romeo si presenta come un autentico "barn find”, perfetta per un progetto di restauro completo. L'auto è dotata di un corretto motore bialbero sei cilindri in linea e di un cambio a quattro marce (le condizioni non sono note) e conserva la maggior parte della strumentazione e dei componenti interni. Inoltre, monta due cerchi originali a raggi Ruote Borrani al posteriore.
