The Carrera S model features the perfect blend of late 1990s Porsche attributes that make any fan of air-cooled Porsche fans stand up and take notice. Offered for just two years, Carrera S features the wide-body taken from the Carrera C4S which in turn was borrowed from the aforementioned 911 Turbo. The Carrera S is rear-wheel drive only, significantly more satisfying in terms of driving purity. Additional Carrera S details of note are a special engine grill evoking memories of a 356 twin-grill Roadster and special gauges with Carrera S lettering on the tachometer.
