An original McLaren MP4-28 front wing assembly as raced by Jenson Button during Practice 3, Qualifying, and the Race at the 2013 Brazilian Grand Prix—the final round of the Formula One season.

Constructed entirely from lightweight carbon fibre, this complex aerodynamic element bears McLaren's distinctive chrome and red Vodafone livery, with exposed carbon detailing showcasing the precision and craftsmanship of the team's engineering. The internal serial number and detailed session history are marked by McLaren on the component itself, confirming its use across the São Paulo weekend.

The 2013 Brazilian Grand Prix marked a strong finish to a challenging season for Button and McLaren, with Button driving superbly in variable conditions to secure fourth place, delivering the team's best result of the year. The MP4-28, though outpaced by its rivals, remained a strikingly advanced car, and its aerodynamic components reflect the cutting-edge technology of the era.

Following the event, the wing was presented to long-serving McLaren employee Roy Reader as a retirement gift, recognising his decades of service to the team. It was later acquired directly from Reader by the consignor in 2023.

A striking and highly technical display piece, this front wing embodies both the aesthetic and engineering excellence of Formula One—and represents a rare opportunity to own an authentic, race-used component from one of the sport's most celebrated British champions.
