A Unique Opportunity: Gordon Murray Automotive T.50
Broad Arrow Auctions set a new auction world record for a Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 with the sale of chassis 009 for $8.035M on 21 April. The result was achieved during a special single-car live auction at the Allegretto Vineyard Resort, held during the California Mille in Paso Robles, California, marking the model’s first public auction offering in North America.
One of just 100 examples produced, the 2025 T.50 was presented in bespoke Reef Red with fewer than 30 delivery miles and is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.9-liter Cosworth GMA V-12 producing 661 horsepower at 11,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and advanced fan-assisted aerodynamics.
Offered during an evening gathering of rally participants, this nearly unobtainable icon attracted competitive in-room bidding before selling to a California Mille entrant. A portion of proceeds from the sale will benefit the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation and McPherson College’s Automotive Restoration Program in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
